A time to be born: On Monday, January 31, 1972, in the city of Oakland, California, Dorothy Odella Batson gave birth to a bubbling eight 8 pound, 4-ounce, baby boy, that she named Warren Timothy Jordan.
A time to learn: Warren's attended the Passaic City School District. He completed 12th grade and graduated from Passaic High School, where he was a football player. Another accomplishment he achieved was starting to drive in 2015.
A time to work: Upon graduating from high school, Warren entered the workforce by becoming employed at Roy Rogers Restaurant. Soon after, he joined the staff at United Parcel Service (UPS) in Secaucus, New Jersey, and established a career there for over 25 years of service.
A time to worship: In his late teens, Warren became impressed with the Nation of Islam and became a learned student, attending Mosque in Newark, NJ. He espoused the values and principles of Black solidarity and independence. His spiritual life was noble, sincere, and committed.
A time to travel: Warren Timothy Jordan loved to travel and went on several cruises, Visiting; Mexico, the Caribbean, Catalina Island, and Alaska with his Coit family (cousins) and friends.
A time to play: Warren loved all sports, especially spectator, from curling to basketball, football, soccer, and hockey were a few of favorites to name a few. He also enjoyed listening to music, particularly R&B, and found music to be therapeutic for his soul.
A time to eat: Warren was a connoisseur and gourmand. He enjoyed eating and often ate too much. He loved soul food, especially macaroni and cheese, collard greens, sweet potatoes, barbecue, and tofu.
A time to be health conscious: Despite his eating habits, Warren devoted time and energy to health and wellness. He liked gaming, loved to go walking, and would often be seen taking long walks every day, He also enjoyed working out at the gym. He was always concerned about his weight. Warren Timothy Jordan was known to his Godmother as a respectful, mild- mannered gentleman. He faced many challenges in life but met each one with a warrior spirit who showed that he was an over-comer and conqueror.
A time to die: On Monday, April 1, 2024, Warren peacefully departed this life at his home in Passaic, New Jersey, leaving this earthly plain and trading labor for reward.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Pastor Douglas Christian Batson Sr. and his wife; Barbara Odella Johnson Batson, his paternal grandmother; Gilla Richardson, aunt; Barbara Ann Batson-Bracey, stepfather; Ronald Rodney Jones, and uncle; Kenneth Jones.
Warren leaves to mourn his passing, his mother; Dorothy Odella Batson Jones of Glendale, AZ, sister; Jasmine Leeshele Jones of Waldorf, MD,brother; Isaiah Jones of Columbus, OH, uncles; Douglas Christian Batson Jr (Sharon) of Laurel, MD, David Arthur Batson of Atlanta, GA, Homer Jones of Akron, OH, nephew; Devonte Marquis Jones of Columbus, OH, his dear friend and confidant; Melissa Grant, beloved Godmother; Dr. Alpha Omega Curry cousins; Mark Dupree and Brian Wade, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends who will miss him dearly.
