Mrs. P., Glenn, Karen. I am very sorry to hear of Warren (Dad)'s passing. My sincere thoughts and prayers go out to you and your families. He will be greatly missed. I am sorry I was not able to be there as I am out of town. Warren (coach to me) was a great man. He left an impression on me at a young age. He pushed me to be the best I could be. I not only was a player on his teams, but had a lot of interactions with him at the rink including bringing my kids in to meet him. I can remember him skating up behind me in drills saying Mooney! move that fanny! At one point in my adult life playing hockey in Westboro, I had to switch back to defense and I was getting beat by a good player. I went into him after the game and he helped me figure out how to stop this guy like he did when I was a kid. I still remember the day that he ask me to join his team to go to Canada as some kids were too old that were on his team. We were practicing at St. Marks and after stopping some good, big players trying to break in on me, he pulled me over the the side boards and asked me if I would like to go to Canada with him and the team. I was 10 years old. He gave me such confidence. As adult when I was playing in the men's league and was in front on the net and this pesky little guy was bumping me and jousting with me. I had finally had it with him and knocked him on his butt. I looked down and with the coach on his back side he said "Mooney!, what the heck was that!" I said coach, what are you doing down there! :) He was snipping at me and I said what's the problem coach, you taught me that! :) I helped him up, gave him a hug and we kept playing. I was around 30 yrs old and he was playing with a bunch on young guys. That's how good he was. I will always remember Warren and his wife Ellie as great people. They did so much for us as kids growing up and were always so nice to everyone. Coach, thank you for everything you did for me. Love all ya'll.
