Claire Helen Paradise, 85, of Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Sullivan) Paradise.

Claire was a former member of the Religious Sisters of Mercy and served as a teacher at Saint Michael's School, Holy Ghost School, and Our Lady of Mercy School. Later, she received her Master's Degree from Rhode Island College and became a Guidance Counselor at Davisville Middle School in North Kingstown until her retirement. Claire was a communicant of St. Timothy Parish in Warwick and will be remembered for her kindness and generosity to all who knew her. She was a wonderful person whose compassion for others was appreciated by so many friends and family, as well as her community. Claire was also an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.

Claire leaves behind her nieces, Judi Simonini, Christine Choiniere, Barbara Hempe, Claire Hickey, and nephews, Jim Hickey and David Hempe. She was predeceased by her nephew, Charlie Hickey. She also leaves many great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 8:30AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM at St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Providence.

Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 4:00PM-7:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
