Waylon Lee Wright, 77, of Florence died Monday, September 22, 2025, at his residence.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 27, 2025, 11 AM to 12:45 PM at Elkins Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1 PM at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with Billy Counce officiating.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Wright; parents, O.C. Wright and Virginia Green Wright.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Wright; many friends and family.

He worked for TVA and loved his crew. He enjoyed patriotism, fixing watches and clocks. He was a member of Creekside Church and was loved supporting the North Alabama Christian Children's Home. He supported Chloe's fund.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Hospice of North Alabama and Cornerstone Caregiving for the care they gave to Mr. Wright.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to North Alabama Children's Home or your favorite charity.
