Funeral services celebrating the life of Waymon Shoalmire of Mansfield, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Chapel, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Bro. Brent Shoalmire. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Mansfield, Louisiana. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Waymon was born on May 11, 1923, to Bob and Ethel Shoalmire and entered into rest on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Waymon celebrated his 100th birthday this past May with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Bernice Shoalmire; his parents; granddaughter, Angela Robin Shoalmire; and multiple siblings.
Left to cherish his memory is his sons, Shelby Shoalmire and wife, Kaye, and Randall Shoalmire; grandchildren, Nick Shoalmire and Delilah, Fred and Danny Lowery, April Lowery, and Donald Jackson; great grandchildren, Dylan and Keiano, and Robyn and Randi Mae; and great great grandchildren, Ivry and Ellei.
Honoring Waymon as pallbearers will be Fred Lowery, Danny Lowery, Nick Shoalmire, Dylan Shoalmire, Harley Ford, and Claude Echols. Honorary pallbearers will be Rod Stevens and Floyd Hewitt.
