Graveside services for Jerry Eugene Anderson will be held at O.E. Price Cemetery, Logansport, LA at 11:00 Wednesday, September 10, 2025, with Chaplain Timothy Roberson officiating.
Jerry was born in Logansport, Louisiana to Eugene Bernard Anderson and Essie Mae Pierce on November 24, 1938. He passed away at Mansfield Nursing Center on September 3rd at the age of 86.
Jerry was a lifelong resident of DeSoto Parish growing up in the Hunter Community. He was a welder with Pipe Liners Local 798. Jerry and his wife, Nelta Dean Smith, traveled extensively following his work. They were married for 52 years.
Jerry is predeceased by his parents, his wife Nelta, a brother, Bruce Rogers, and a special aunt, Lula Bell David.
Jerry is survived by a brother, David Rogers (Vickie), step-children Randy Clark (Mari Dee), Rex Clark (Sheila), Rickey Clark (Lisa), nephew Derreck Rogers (Jody), great-nephews Dawson Rogers, Peyton Rogers, Logan Rogers, grandchildren Amanda Clark Cade (Ben), Stephen Clark, Will Clark, Sarah Clark Stoll (Adam), Matt Clark (Cherish), Patrick Clark, and Melanie Clark Vaughn (Robby). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren and extended family. Serving as pallbearers are David Rogers, Derreck Rogers, Dawson Rogers, Matt Clark, Patrick Clark and Rex Clark.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church (Building & Believing Fund) P.O. Box 177, Logansport, LA 71049 or to donor’s choice.
