Wayne A. Alfano, 64, of Mineral City, passed away on August 13, 2024 in Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center at Canton, following a sudden illness.
Born on December 8, 1959 in Dennison, he was the son of the late Carl “Coke” and Wanda (Keffer) Alfano.
Wayne was a hard worker all of his life. He retired from Tolotti Pipe then began a scrapping business with his brother. In his retirement he also worked as a dishwasher at Texas Roadhouse. He loved spending time with his family. He also loved being outside, hunting or fishing.
Wayne is survived by his daughters, Tammy Watkins, and Teresa Watkins; granddaughter, Ashley (John) Blackburn; great-grandson, Clayton Watkins; brother, Paul Vance; sister, Debbie Robinson; and niece, Janey (Kyle) Phelps.
He was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Patricia Arlene Emig; great-granddaughters, Octavia and Madison Watkins; and step-son, Kenny Watkins.
The family will greet guests on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM in Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia. His brother Paul Vance will lead a funeral service on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Cremation care will follow and he will be buried next to his parents.
