Wayne Patrick Anderson, Sr.

Wayne P. Anderson Sr., age 77, passed away on October 22, 2023. Loving husband for 28 years to Terry Hebert Anderson. Father of Wayne P. Anderson Jr. (Rhonda), the late Annette Bourgeois (Craig), and the late Jimmy Anderson. Step-father of Gail Pereira (Francisco) and Donny Hembree. Grandfather of Ashley Miller (Cory), Cory Bourgeois, CJ Bourgeois, Tracy Aucoin, Ryne Anderson, Ty Anderson, Corey DeLuca (Amber), Brooke Pereira (Kaine), and Blaise Pereira. Great-grandfather of Noah, Amelia, Bryden, Ansley, Aspen, Christian, Karter and Kamrin. Wayne was born on September 24, 1946 to the late Thelma Anderson and the late Obra W. Anderson. Brother of Connie Smith (Wayne) and Tommy Anderson (Brenda). Brother-in-law of Ada Green (Glenn), Bonnie Rodriguez (the late Milton), and Joseph Chimento (the late Brenda). Wayne is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a graduate of Behrman High School in 1964 and went on to work for Casey Jones Supermarket for 42 years before his retirement in 2012. He loved to fish, hunt, cruise and traveling with BMX. But mostly he loved watching LSU. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass in the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., in Marrero, LA, on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 11AM. Visitation will begin at 9AM. Interment will follow immediately at Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna, LA
