Wayne K. Beebie, 76, of Cogan Avenue, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. He was born in Plattsburgh on May 21, 1946 the son of Kenneth and Belma (Labarge) Beebie.
Wayne graduated from Mount Assumption Institute in 1964. He served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1969. Wayne married Carol Rostak on July 7, 1967 at Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh. After being honorably discharged he began working for the New York Telephone Co. in Plattsburgh. Wayne retired from Verizon in 2007 after 37 years of service. He was a parishioner of St. Peter's Church, The American Legion and the Knight of Columbus, Council 255. Wayne was an avid golfer, bowler and craftsman. He especially enjoyed his role as a grandfather and spending time with his family. Wayne had a passion for Christmas and will be remembered for the most decorated house on Cogan Avenue.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Carol, three children; Scott Beebie and his wife Lisa, Cindy Rotz and her husband Tracy and Jason Beebie and his wife Stacey, all of Plattsburgh, nine grandchildren; Allison, Ryan, Shayna, Justine, Brett, Lucas, Maggie, Logan and Noah, his sister Mary Anne DeAngelo, and a large extended family also survive him.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday November 3, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday November 4, 2022 at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh, burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Donations in Wayne's memory may be made to the National Down Syndrome Society.
