Wayne Andrew Bowen, 76, of Sullivan, Ohio passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025 embraced by the love of his family. Wayne was born in Duffield, Virginia on July 14, 1949. Wayne was preceded in death by his grandson Brian "Bub" Fannin, Jr., and his friend of many years, Loyd Mullins.

Wayne was a man who knew what he loved and lived life on his own terms. An avid coon hunter, he found joy in the quiet of the woods and the thrill of the chase. When he wasn't outdoors, you could find him with a Western playing on the TV, a hot cup of coffee in hand, and a slice of pizza never too far away.

Family was the heart of Wayne's life. He was a proud father to Genie, Rob (Melanie), Amanda(Eric), Britney (Kyle), Steven (Brittany), Willy (Lea), Faith (Devin), and Jay. Wayne was also honored to be a loving papaw to Bub, Lena, Austin, Ashley, Destynee, Sydney, Adeline, Peyton, Skylar, Ember, and Avery as well as many great grandchildren. His storytelling, quick wit, and warm laugh will be remembered for years to come. His wisdom will forever be felt in those he helped guide throughout his life.

Wayne will be remembered fondly for the many lessons he shared with his children, grandchildren and friends. Most of which, centered around finding happiness in the outdoors and the quiet, simple joys of life.

A private gathering will be held at a later time at The Nova Coon Club for family and friends to celebrate Wayne's life, and share the stories that made him unforgettable.
