Wayne “Crowbar” Boyer, a beloved member of the Potosi community, passed away on June 9th, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on December 6th, 1958, in Cadet, Missouri, Wayne was known for his hardworking nature and deep love for his family. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Wayne's life was filled with passions that brought joy to his days. He found great pleasure in fishing and hunting, and cherished moments spent playing ball with his grandsons, Bradly Boyer and Aaden Courtway. Wayne had a competitive spirit, often engaging in horseshoes and card games, while also relishing the warmth of family gatherings around barbecues. His commitment to faith was evident as he was a faithful member of St. Joachim Catholic Church in Old Mines, where he fostered lasting connections within the community.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Joyce Boyer; their daughter, Amanda Courtway; his sister, Annet Goff; and his brother, Kenneth Boyer, along with his wife, Sharon. Wayne also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Bradly and Aaden, who will carry forward his legacy of love and kindness. He is remembered fondly by his in-laws: Gary Kincaid, Wanda Slade, Marilyn Oshia, and Mike Oshia.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Cecilia and Leo Boyer, as well as his sisters, Joan (Bob) Hochstatter, Betty (James) Thebeau, and Linda Kincaid; brothers, Vincent “Pooch” Boyer and baby Leon; brother-in-law, Jeff Oshia. He leaves behind rich memories and a legacy that will be felt through the lives he touched.

Wayne’s spirit and love for life will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
