William Wayne Cogsdill, 84, husband of the late Ruby Fuller Cogsdill, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 29, 2024.
Mr. Cogsdill was born in Laurens to the late Euitt William Cogsdill and Gladys Thompson Cogsdill. He retired from Milliken serving as a maintenance supervisor in the knitting division. Wayne was a HEJAZ Shriner and enjoyed dirt track racing. Wayne was kind-hearted and always there to give a helping hand,
Surviving are, a brother, Charles Cogsdill with wife Gail; a sister, Carolyn Miller; a caregiver and friend, Ashley Brown and her children whom he loved like grandchildren, Jasper "Bird" Brown and Jayda "Bop" Brown; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Fred Cogsdill; and a sister, Wydette Barker.
Graveside services will be 11 o'clock Friday at Forest Lawn Cemetery East, officiated by Rev. Ben Rumph. The family will receive friends following the service.
