Fred Cogsdill Obituary
He was born August 6, 1941 in Laurens, SC and was a son of the late Euitt William and Gladys Thompson Cogsdill.
Fred has been the owner of the Laurens Speedway since 1977 and was the operator of the North Harper Exxon from 1974 to 1990. He was a member of Welcome Baptist Church and also attended Eastside Baptist Church.
He is survived by his only child, a son, Michael W. Cogsdill, his twin grandsons, Camden and Camron Cogsdill; his granddaughter, Arrionna Cogsdill all of Laurens; a brother-in-law, Tommy Hellams (Lynne) of Waterloo; a niece, Kim Stoddard (Tim) of Fountain Inn; and two nephews, Zachory Stoddard (Meagan) and Taylor Stoddard all of Fountain Inn.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 2 P.M. at the Forest Lawn Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. J.D. Putnam officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Gray Funeral Home of Laurens.
Gray Funeral Home of Laurens is assisting the Cogsdill family with services.
