Dorothy Anne Bolt Wilson, 95, of Laurens, and wife of the late William Ray Wilson, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at her daughters' home.

Born in Laurens on February 27, 1930, she was a daughter of the late William Harley and Mary Curry Bolt. Dorothy dedicated 18 years of her life to serving with the Laurens County Council. A member of the First Methodist Church of Laurens, Dorothy's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She loved the Lord deeply and lived her life as a testament to her beliefs. Her involvement in the church and her community reflected her unwavering faith and her desire to serve others. Dorothy was a homemaker at heart, finding joy in caring for her family and others. She was known for her caring meals, which she lovingly prepared and shared with those in need. Her selflessness and great sense of humor endeared her to all who knew her. Above all, Dorothy cherished her role as a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy Wilson Bickers (Ned Vincent) of Laurens and Deborah Wilson Berlin (Dr. Alan Joseph Berlin) of Montgomery, Al; grandchildren, Andrew Bickers (Mandy) of Dawsonville, GA, Marian C. Bickers (Bryan Taylor) of Dacula, GA, Hannah W. Davis (Tyler) of Kennesaw, GA, Dr. Avery Lisenbe (Jake) of Auburn, AL, Dr. Danielle Berlin of Greenville, SC; great grandchildren, Ivy and Macie Bickers, Seth Davis, Haddon and Theodore Lisenbe; a sister, Mary Ellen Coates; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, William Keith Wilson; a brother, James Edwin Bolt; and sisters, Josephine Tinsley and Shirley Abercrombie.

A private family graveside service will be held at Green Pond Methodist Church Cemetery.

Earlier today

I shall cherish the time we spend together, the prayers we shared I will always remember. I will never have another friend like Mrs. Wilson. I missed her beautiful smile and hugs she shared with me. But my love for her will remain in my heart forever. What better place to be absent from the world but present with her savior.
