Byron Wayne Cox, 55, passed away October 17, 2022.
A native of Marietta, Georgia; a son of the late Jerry Wayne and Jacqueline Lee Burdette Cox; he was an employee of Sealed Air Corporation for thirty five years, and member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa Edge Cox of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Wayne and Jessica Cox of Greer; one brother and sister-in-law, Brent and Samantha Cox of Spartanburg; and one sister and brother-in-law; Melanie and Ray Holland of Spartanburg; father-in-law, Guy Edge (Kay); mother-in-law, Frances Lawyer (Art); two brothers-in-law, Tim Edge (Sandy) and Jason Norton; two sisters-in-law, Alicia Fulton (Buddy) and Amanda Gibbs (Dave); many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog and companion, "Molly".
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2022; at Poplar Springs Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Joe Burnett and Rev. Jarrett McNeely. Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2022; at the church prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
The family will be at the home.
