Mr. Lindsey “Wayne” Dinkins, 87, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Novant (Forsyth) Medical Center. Wayne was born to Charlie and Maude Russell Dinkins in Yadkin County and lived in Yadkinville throughout his entire life. He graduated Yadkinville High School in 1957 and married his high school sweetheart, Patty Sue Childress in 1958. He retired from RJ Reynolds after 38 years of service. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene, Claude, Harold, and sister, Bonnie Allen. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Patty Dinkins; children, Mike (Regina) Dinkins and Phyllis Dinkins; his grandsons, Josh Dinkins and Andrew (Liz) Dinkins; and great-grandson, Kallaway Dinkins. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Dinkins family.
