Bonnie Livengood Hampton, 83, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025. She was born October 19, 1941 in Yadkin County to the late Jessie Savannah Livengood and Laura Lucinda Wilkins Livengood. She was a loving wife, mother, nana, and Grandma Bonnie. She worked for Sara Lee for 40 years. Bonnie is a breast cancer survivor of 38 years. She loved spending time with Connie, her grandkids, and her four legged baby Harley, gardening, planting flowers, and thrifting. Bonnie was a member of Hanes Grove United Methodist Church for 68 years. She loved her church and loved helping take care of the church building. Bonnie loved helping people and she loved helping the underdog. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband George Daniel “Dan” Hampton; grandson Joseph “Trav” Johnson; three brothers Roy James Livengood, Arthur "Ott" Lee Livengood, Lester Ray Livengood; sister JoAnn Livengood Renegar. She is survived by her children Connie Shelton, Ricky (Catherine) Hampton, Russel (Pam) Hampton, Ryan (Lori) Hampton; grandchildren Carrie (Al) Yountz, Michael Hampton, Christopher Hampton, Daniel (Laura) Hampton, Ronnie Hampton, Ashlyn Hampton, Peyton Hampton, Nathan Hampton, Lauren Hampton, Debra Lawrence (David) Ulloa; great grandchildren Ben Hampton, Megan Hampton, Scott Hampton, Lydia Hampton, Jaden Hampton, Ian Brice, Mya Analee Ulloa; brothers Jesse Edward (Louise) Livengood, Donnie Gray (Pam) Livengood; sisters Doris Livengood Holder, Jean Livengood Reavis; multiple beloved nieces and nephews; special extended family Kay Willard “Granny”, Penny Norman, Kasey, Lee, Brentlee and Carter Angell, Jacob, Katie and Payton Willard, Gabriel Norman, Jamie VanSutphen, Cadien Johnson, Noley Joyce, Lana, Ralph and Brooke Caldwell, Jane Cornwell.. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM -12:00 PM Sunday October 5, 2025 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 12:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Curtis Carmack, FCSO Chaplain Jeff Vogler and Rev. Stephen Evans. Burial will follow at Hanes Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to Dr. Lauren Patua, Dr. Joanie Williams, nurse Cathy Sullivan and Physical Therapist Ayere for the loving care given to Bonnie. In Celebration of Bonnie’s life, please wear bright, happy colors. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Hampton family.
