On January 23, 2025, our Loving Lord called home Wayne L. Eitzmann at the age of 81 years. Wayne was born January 26, 1943. His parents were Oscar and Mable (Kuper) Eitzmann. He was baptized on February 19, 1943, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Byron. He was confirmed May 20, 1957, at St. Paul's, Hardy. Wayne attended grade school at the Country grade school in Republic County, Kansas. Wayne graduated high school from Lovewell, Kansas.
Wayne married his wife, Lorie Hoops on February 23, 1974. They were given 41 happy years together.
Wayne worked at Reinke Manufacturing and Deshler Broom Factory in Deshler, 27 years. He also worked at T-L Irrigation Company in Hastings and Asherman's in Belleville, Kansas. Wayne was a Boy Scout. His hobbies were crocheting, collecting plates, tractors and stamps. Wayne also enjoyed spending time with family. He moved to Deshler September 2019.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lorie; parents Oscar and Mable Eitzmann; brother Virgil; and brother-in-law Gary Hoops.
Those left to cherish his memory are brothers Stanley and wife Joyce of Omaha, and Myron and wife Marsha of Courtland, Kansas; sister-in-law Marge Eitzmann; sister-in-law Rose Remmers and husband Dale; sister-in-law Audrey Hoops; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler with Pastor Joseph Love officiating. Viewing 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Byron. Memorials may be given to Peace Lutheran Church.
