Wayne Clarence Hanson, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home in Key Largo, Florida, on March 13, 2025, following a brief battle with cancer. He was born on September 16, 1951, in Peterborough, New Hampshire, to Clarence and Barbara Hanson, who predeceased him.
Wayne devotedly operated Tiffany Styling Salon at the Tradewinds Plaza in Key Largo for 29 successful years alongside his beloved wife, Marjorie. Their partnership in both business and life began after their marriage in 1973, a union characterized by adventure and a shared passion for life. Together, they traveled the globe, exploring destinations such as Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Argentina, and Ecuador, creating cherished memories along the way.
An avid fisherman and gun enthusiast, Wayne found joy in the great outdoors, often indulging in his love for fishing, which became not just a hobby but a way of life. He was proud of his accomplishments, such as the catch and release of a 1000lb Grander Black Marlin in Australia, and especially the time spent surrounded by family and nature. His zest for life and warm spirit left a lasting impression on those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Wayne is survived by his devoted wife, Marjorie; his son, Capt. Chris Hanson, who operates Scales 2 Tales Charters, and his partner, Kris Todd; as well as his cherished granddaughter, Haley Hanson. Wayne’s family will honor his memory by taking his ashes back to Peterborough, New Hampshire, where he will rest beside his parents.
Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service which will be held for Wayne on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 11:00 am at Pine Hill Cemetery in Peterborough, NH.
