Wayne Page Fink Jr., age 75, of Berlin passed away Tuesday evening, November 16, 2021 surrounded by family at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton.

He was born May 13, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Wayne Page and Lorraine (Prachel) Fink Sr. He married Susan M. Thada on May 31, 1975 at St. John Lutheran Church in Berlin.

Wayne was a graduate of Princeton High School and later served our country in the Army from 1966 until 1968. He was employed as a machinist at the former Leach Company in Oshkosh for many years. Later, he worked for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections at Oshkosh Correctional Institution and was instrumental in opening the Redgranite Correctional Institution where Wayne worked until his retirement in 2012.

Wayne loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be fondly remembered for being able to fix just about anything. He enjoyed taking care of his lawn and helping neighbors with snowplowing. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Berlin.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 46 years, Susan M. Fink, Berlin; two sons: Trevor (Julie) Fink, Neenah and Tyler (Tracy) Fink, Winneconne; four grandchildren: Jordan and Matthew Fink, Logan and Callee Fink; one brother, Bruce Fink (Sue Backhaus), Fond du Lac; a sister-in-law, Gail Fink, Markesan. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother Dale Fink.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma with Rev. Paul Mundinger officiating. Full military honors will follow at the funeral home. Burial will be at Wautoma Union Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.

The family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff at Cherry Meadows Hospice for their compassionate care of Wayne.
