Wayne Keyser, 78 of Madison, WV, departed this life on December 29, 2025 at Boone Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 19, 1947 in Harts, WV the son of the late Wilson & Causby Keyser.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Silfred (Phyllis) Keyser, John Keyser and J.R. Keyser.

Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, golfing, storytelling, going to church and spending time with his grandchildren and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Marcella Keyser of Madison; step-daughter, Michelle Moore and her husband Danny Jr of Danville; step-son, Dale Belcher and his wife Heather Jo of Chapmanville; brother, Ezra Keyser and his wife Sharon of Harts; sisters-in-law, Garnet Keyser of Harts and Lucille Keyser of Huntington; grandchildren, Brooke (John Thomas) Keffer of Man, Grace (Wesley) Nelson of Danville, Donavan Moore (Kellie Hastings) of Charleston, Alexis Moore (David Church) of Rainelle, Macy Belcher, JadaLynn (Adam) Vance, Seth Freeman (Cammye Kovach), and Elijah Freeman all of Chapmanville; great grandchildren, Cade Thomas Keffer of Man, Magnolia June Nelson of Danville; and Daxton, Ayden and Kaycen Vance all of Chapmanville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Freeman Funeral Home with Dennie Evans and Rodney Workman officiating. Burial will follow at the Browning Cemetery, Harts, WV.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
