Wayne Allan Krueger, age 85, passed away on July 15, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born in Cleveland on February 2, 1940 to the late Leonard and Mildred (Gantos) Krueger.
Wayne served his country proudly in the US Navy Air Unit PATRON 49. He went on to work briefly for Cleveland Steel - then at Ohio Machinery for many years before retirement. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed gardening. He was a longtime member with his wife at Our Savior Lutheran Church and a Freemason. Wayne was a highly skilled woodworker and often went to various places with his family to sell his creations.
Wayne is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Lois M. (Bayer) whom he met in the Navy and married in Maryland; his loving daughter Danielle Christy and her husband Cory; his faithful companion Cooper; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister.
The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 pm, Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick, OH 44233 and from 9:30-10:30, Friday, July 25, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1605 Center Rd., Hinckley, OH 4423. A funeral service will be held 10:30 am Friday at Our Savior Lutheran Church. A committal service with military honors will be held at 12:15 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
