Wayne Ross Lewis, age 94, of Lost Creek, WV, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday evening, September 14, 2025, at the United Hospital Center surrounded by family. Wayne was born on March 1, 1931, at his family home in Lost Creek to the late Charles Ross Lewis and Opal Marie Randolph. He was an only child.

On December 30, 1951, Wayne married Minetta Jewelle White. Their devotion to one another was a testament of their faith and they shared the joys of life and each other for over 70 years. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Minetta J. White and son-in-law Jefferey V. Zickefoose.

Honoring the memories of Wayne and Minetta of Lost Creek are their surviving five children: Charlotte A. Moses and husband, Michael, of Lost Creek, Marsha K. Templin and husband, Steven of Lancaster, OH, Lynelle M. Zickefoose of Buckhannon, Wayne S. Lewis of Johnstown, and Michelle R. Lewis of Winchester, VA. There are eight grandchildren: Adam L. Kwiatkowski and wife, Christa, Kara M. Winnell and husband, Nate, Judd S. Templin and wife, Jessica, Clayton L Templin and wife, Heather, Brock A. Templin and wife, Megan, Parker J. Templin and wife, Estefania, Emily K. McCord and husband, Tyson, and April L Zickefoose. Wayne has 15 great-grandchildren: Kaylie Kwiatkowski, Hayden and wife Tiara, and Dori Winnell, Jefferson, Vivian, Cecilia, and Sullivan Templin, Elijah, Savannah, and Sierra Templin, Scarlett and Cash Templin, and Seton, Beckett, Evryn, and Laurel McCord and one brother-in-law, Curtis White near Peel Tree.

Wayne was a graduate of Lost Creek High School 1949. He worked approximately 30 years for the glass factories in Harrison County and helped his Dad with the 1800's family homestead. Wayne enjoyed coon hunting in his younger days. He raised several coon and show dogs which won trophies. He loved shooting pool and tournaments. He also enjoyed Pirate baseball, Steeler football, WVU basketball rooting for Jerry West with his ear to the radio, South Harrison Hawks football and basketball and was an avid LA Lakers fan the past 15 years. He was a Christian by faith and member of the Rockford United Methodist Church.
