Wayne Martin Obituary
Wayne was predeceased by his first wife of 39 years, Joan Parker; his second wife of 11 years, Rose; and his brother, Lawrence Martin. He is survived by his children: Amy (Richard) Snyder, Dana (Sakiko) Martin, and Jack (Tania) Martin; grandchildren: Tara Joan (Yegor) Vasilenko, Shannon, Ryan, and Evan Wayne Snyder; Noah, Caleb, Silas, Micah, and Elijah Martin; Kaden, Kayleigh, Vie, and Hunter Martin; and his first great-grandchild, Hannah Amy Vasilenko.
Wayne was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Pine Valley High School at the age of 16. He went on to Jamestown Community College to earn his Associates Degree for business, and also served as a Military Police Officer in the US Army for two years, and the Army reserves for 4 years. He was employed at Sybron-Castle Company for over 30 years, working up to become a Supervisor, and enrolled at Empire State College, receiving his BS in Business Administration in 1986. Along the way, Wayne married Joan (née Parker) in 1966. Together, they raised three children in Henrietta, NY. After Joan went to be with the Lord in 2005, Wayne met Rose [Howard] in a grief support group and they married in 2009, remaining together until Rose went to be with the Lord in 2020. In his retirement, Wayne volunteered at Monroe Community Hospital and in RHCSD. He was a bowler, active in the Rotary, served in the church for many years, participated in Bible studies and outings, and liked baking bread and helping people. He was a big fan of the Bills, the Yankees, and NASCAR. But his greatest loves were God and family. He was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be truly missed by all of his family and friends. []
Calling Hours to be held from 3:00-5:00 PM on SATURDAY, November 16, 2024, and a Funeral Service at 2:30 PM on SUNDAY, November 17, 2024, all held at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. 3325 Winton Rd. South.

Wayne has been coming to a group of retirees at the Bay Front Restaurant in Webster for many years. We have just found out about his passing. Carol Ewert has been dropping him off at his home for several years and did the same on 11/8/24. He gave none of us any indication of him being ill or any other health issues other than normal. We were very upset to find that he was no longer with us. He will be missed. Carol Ewert, Dick and Ruth Feasel, Barb and Phill, and Nancy and Dennis Gotte.

Our friendship goes back many years, first with he and Joan and then with rose. We would see them every week going out to dinner. Wayne and I went swimming and lunch several times a week. A faithful gentle friend.
