Mr. Wayne Kenneth “Bob” Martin, age 78, of the Flat Creek Community in Williamson County, TN, died on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a native of Hickman County, TN and a son of the late Ernest Earthman Martin and LouBelle Hooper Martin. Mr. Martin was retired from the Williamson County School Transportation Department in 2022. Previously he was co-owner in Martin Brothers Concrete and Martin Brothers Trucking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Farris Martin, and a son in law, Joe Young.
Wayne was a kind and humble man. He would give you the shirt of his back and help anyone in need. He was a hard worker and gave it his all to everything he did. He was quiet but quick witted. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and being involved with them.
Mr. Martin is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Linda Clark Martin of the Flat Creek Community; children, Tony (Ellen) Martin of Chapel Hill, TN, Donna Young of Chapel Hill, TN, Karen Lamb of Columbia, TN, Brian (Julie) Martin of Columbia, TN, Daniale (James) Blunkall of Bradenton, FL; sisters, Vera Tyner of Bolivar, TN, Sue Kelley of Lansing, MI; grandchildren, Keith (Molly) Martin, Justin (Kasey) Martin, Ben (Sara Kay) Young, Presley Blunkall, Daniel Lamb (Abbie Bowker), Amelia Blunkall, honorary grandchild, Buck Lamb; great grandchildren, Waylon Martin, Riley Young, Jax Martin, Camryn Jo Martin; sisters in law, Sandra Alexander of Bradenton, FL, Elizabeth Ford of Franklin, TN, Peggy Martin of Franklin, TN; brother in law, Cecil Clark of Franklin, TN.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM – 8 PM on Monday, July 21, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home and two hours prior to the funeral service on Tuesday. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 PM on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Keith Martin and Jody Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.
Tony Martin, Brian Martin, Daniel Lamb, Justin Martin, Keith Martin, Ben Young, George Lamb, Jeff Pardue, James Blunkall, and Steve Ford will serve as pallbearers.
