Wayne Mayo Obituary
Wayne Mayo, 62, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 4, 2024. He was born in Clayton, IN on June 2, 1961 to James Mayo and Mary (Reed) Harris. Wayne worked for Orr Paving. He liked fishing, watching old western TV shows, working in his flower and tomato garden. Wayne loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle Mayo; brother, Bernard Mayo; sisters, Sally Stranger and Sherry Mayo-Darnell. Memorial services will be Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm. Inurnment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include children, Michael Mayo, Michelle Mayo, David (Rebecca) Mayo, Suzanne (Aaron) Alfrey, Julie (Josh) Luedeman, Ashley (Lucio) Reyes, Matthew (Teresa) Mayo and Laura Mayo; mother, Mary Harris; brothers, Randy Mayo, Charles and Morris Mayo; sister, Lois Eller, Nancy Mayo and Becky Hoover; 21 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
