Wayne McDonald, age 68, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away November 17, 2025, at his residence.
Wayne was born in Montgomery, Maryland to the late Chancie McDonald and the late Ruby Genevieve Campbell McDonald. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Jeffery L. McDonald and Chancie McDonald, Jr., a granddaughter, Samantha Thomas and great-grandson, Crue Gross.
He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Linda McDonald; son, Charles McDonald of Fincastle VA; sisters, Ann Kuntz of Woodbridge, VA, Marie O'Shae of Summerville, SC; bonus children, Terry (Samantha) Gross, Patty Gross, Kevin (Mackenzie) Roark; ten grandchildren, Zach (Kayla) Gross, Ashton Gross, Spencer Gross, Tabitha Spears, Malaki Mason, Xavier Roark, Zane Roark, Tristan McDonald, Travis McDonald, Trae McDonald; four great-grandchildren, Pheonynx Israel, Onyx Israel, Harlyne Israel and Kiddman Gross.
Wayne was a true jack of all trades, someone who could fix just about anything and was always ready to learn something new. He had a deep love for bowling and spent many happy years on his bowling team, sharing countless laughs and friendly competition with those he called teammates and friends. Weather he was riding his motorcycle on an open road or lending a helping hand to someone in need, Wayne lived life with generosity and heart. He was the kind of person who was always just a phone call away, ready to offer support, advice, or simply a listening ear. His kindness, reliability, and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family has entrusted J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel with arrangements.
Visitation with the family will begin on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 2:00pm until 7:00pm at the Lovers Lane Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at Columbia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Virginia on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 10:00am EST.
