Mr. Wayne W. Mohr

Mr. Wayne Willard Mohr, 88, of Galesburg, died at 10:58 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022, in Seminary Manor, Galesburg, Illinois.
Wayne was born June 11, 1933 in Park Falls, Wisconsin, the son of Myron and Lila (Besaw) Mohr. He married Phyllis Schultz and later he married Lola Carlson at the Methodist Church in Altona, Illinois. They celebrated 51 years together.
Left to cherish his legacy are his wife, Lola, his son, Richard (and Ruth) Eagle of Abingdon, Illinois, his daughter, Cheryl (and Danial) Koeritz of Wheaton, Illinois, and two daughters-in-law, Elaine Mohr, of Hollywood, California, and Melodie Eagle, of Williamsfield, Illinois. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two sons, Jeff Mohr and Bradley Eagle, his daughter, Kelly Mohr, and four sisters, Mary Ellen Corbet, Lew Little, Gina (Jerry) Calleham, and Peggy (Roger) Hedglen.
Wayne graduated from Galesburg High School in 1951 and from there he went on serve in the United States Navy. After serving his time in the Navy, he began working as a Plant Superintendent at Gale Products in Galesburg for 30 years, retiring in 1980. Wayne was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Galesburg and during his free time he enjoyed reading and listening to his favorite music.
Cremation will be accorded. A Committal Service will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., in Woodhull Cemetery, in Woodhull, Illinois. With Rev. Pamela Marolla officiating. Memorial contributions in Wayne's memory may be made out to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
