Wayne E. Moody, 73, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Friday, January 3, 2025 at the York WellSpan Hospital. Born May 17, 1951 in Gardiner, Maine, he was the son of the late Clyde and Marcia (Hinckley) Moody. In addition to his parents he was most recently proceeded in death by his beloved wife of 42 years Tina L. Moody.

Wayne is survived by three children, Terry Perry and his wife Tonya of Chambersburg, Andrea Rice and her husband Paul of Fayetteville, PA, and Mandy Walls of Chambersburg; seven grandchildren, Jenna Bittinger, Shania Malone, Austin Perry, Kylie Lark, Taylor Walls, Tristyn and Brysen Rice; three great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Brantley, and Keaton. He also leaves behind several siblings and numerous nieces and nephews in his birth state of Maine.

Wayne served in the Army from 1969 until 1972 and the National Guard from 1978 until 1987. He worked most of his career at the Letterkenny Army Depot before transferring to the Navy base in Mechanicsburg until his retirement. In his younger years he enjoyed traveling to NASCAR races with his wife and spending time with family and friends, playing cards and horseshoes at family gatherings. He continued that love of playing card games on his phone with his fur babies by his side in recent years. He also enjoyed making memories with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

The children will host a celebration of life at a later date in the spring in addition to a graveside service where he will be sent home to his final resting place to be with his beloved wife, Tina.
