Walter C. Klenzing, Sr., 81, of Chambersburg, PA, unexpectedly went to be with the Jesus on August 2, 2025, at Chambersburg hospital with his family by his side.

He was born on August 22, 1943 in Chambersburg, PA. He was the son of the late Clyde Klenzing (killed in WWII) and Emma (Creamer) Klenzing, Bowman, Henry.

Aside from his parents, he was also preceded in death by his step-father Carl Henry, sister Patricia (Klenzing) Caldwell, and brother Ronald Bowman.

He was a 1962 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He was retired after working for many years for the Minute Maid Co., a branch of the Coca-Cola Co. He also worked part time for BAPS as a driver for several years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Judith (Potkalitsky) Klenzing, whom he married on July 20, 1963, and his two sons, Walter “Tony” Klenzing, Jr. (Tina) and John Klenzing (Nora). He has 6 grandchildren, Joshua, Jordan, Jamie, Ariana, Amaiah, and Amarri, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be private. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday August 24, 2025, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus 336 E. Garfield Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
