Wayne Richard Murray went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 29, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Wayne is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Lynda Murray, and their three daughters and sons-in-law: Wendy and Randy Fontaine, Kristen and Fred Ranney, and Debra Murray and Ryan Stacy. He was a proud grandfather to Dominique Hopkinson, Dante Scarlotto, Austin Bonanno, Wayne Bonanno, Tyler Fontaine, and Kylee Fontaine, and a loving great-grandfather to Vienna LaChance.

He is also survived by his sister, Diane Bisanti, and her husband, John, as well as several cherished nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lorraine Murray; his sister, Sandra Cady, and her husband, Henry; his brother, Richard Murray, Jr.; and his granddaughter, Elizabeth Bonanno.

Wayne lived a life full of passion and purpose. He was a talented carpenter by trade and generously passed on his skills in carpentry and painting to his daughters. He had a deep love for the outdoors—whether hunting, fishing, gardening, or enjoying a sunny day on the boat with his beloved wife and family.

He was also an avid ham radio operator, known on the airwaves by his call sign, N1DCG. In quieter moments, Wayne found joy in building model airplanes and cheering on his favorite football teams.

Wayne’s love for his family was unwavering, and he will be remembered for his strength, kindness, and the many life lessons he shared. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

As Wayne would say when signing off, 10-4
