Wayne Norton Obituary
Wayne served our country in the US Navy. His many careers included vice president of marketing for National City Bank, CFO of House of Lamps Inc., accounting manager at Boehm Pressed Steel, and esteemed driver for Center for Sight. He came to Sarasota from Strongsville, Ohio, in 2010. Wayne was an active member of Sarasota Baptist Church. He ministered to friends and strangers alike. He also enjoyed cooking for family and friends, Bible studies, playing golf, Sudoku puzzles and caring for his wife, Charlene.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 33 years, Charlene (Herron); daughter Kelly Miller (Matt); stepdaughters Sandra Stewart (Bill); and Sherry Diamond (Adam Stanek); siblings Lorraine Johnson, Tom Norton, Richard Norton, and Michael Norton; grandchildren Adam, Aaron, Amanda, Abby, Alex, Aidan, Shaun, Kimberly, Courtney and Phillip; great grandson, Tyler.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his son, David, and his stepfather, Salvatore Gillotti.
There will be a Celebration of Wayne's Life on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Sarasota Baptist Church, 7091 Proctor Road, Sarasota, Florida 34241.
Memorial contributions may be made in Wayne's honor to the Sarasota Medical Pregnancy Center at www.sarasotapregnancy.com. Memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.MFHcares.com.
