Wayne Edward Ottinger

Obituary
Wayne Edward Ottinger, 53, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on September 10, 2023, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on May 18, 1970, in Lebanon, Indiana, to Lawrence and Joan (Eytcheson) Ottinger, and was raised in Zionsville, Indiana. Wayne was a United States Army veteran and was a volunteer for Center for Lay Ministries in Jeffersonville. He was a member of Wall Street United Methodist Church and loved serving his community, helping with his kids' activities, and caring for others. Wayne loved scuba diving and was a huge fan of Jimmy Buffett and all forms of auto racing.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by a brother, Richard, and son, Jacob. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kathy Ottinger; children DeLaney (Cody) Smith, Zoe Ottinger, Savannah Ottinger, and Nathan Ottinger; sisters, Karen Nelson and Bernice Hodgin, along with nieces, nephews, and other family; and many friends who were like family.
There will be a visitation held on Monday, September 18, 2023, from 2-4pm with service to follow at 4pm at Wall Street United Methodist Church, 240 Wall Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
