Wayne Andrew Pyatt, 47, of North Vernon, passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
Born June 8, 1975, at the Scott County Hospital in Scottsburg, he was the son of Tom Pyatt and the late Carol (Peacock) Pyatt. He married Sarah Scheifinger on December 4, 2020, at Grayford Road Church in North Vernon; she survives.
Wayne served in the US Army and drove the special needs bus for Jennings County Schools and had also worked in the hub group at Lowes Distribution Center in North Vernon. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening, going on adventures, and vacationing. Wayne loved spending time with family and going to Kings Island.
Surviving with his wife, Sarah, are his sons, Dustin (Kelly) Pyatt of Seymour, Dalton (Breanna Marty) Pyatt of Celina, Tennessee, Travis (Emily Renault) Collett, Ethan Stevens, and Preston Stevens, all of North Vernon; daughter, Rachyl (John McClain) Moore of Butlerville; father, Tom Pyatt of Commiskey; brothers, Cary (Christina) Pyatt and Todd Pyatt, both of Commiskey; grandchildren, Bentlee, Noeah, Britten, Lilliana, Lakyn, Jacob, Skyler, John, Kaden, Zelia, Maelynna, Olivia and Ivory; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother; daughter, Diamond Pyatt, brother, Richard "RT" Pyatt; and grandchildren, Hunter, Cora and Caitlin.
In keeping with his and his family's wishes, cremation is planned with a private celebration of life. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
Memorials in honor of Wayne may be made through the funeral home for expenses.
