Wayne F. Ramsay sadly passed away on June 1, 2024, at home with his loving family by his side. Wayne was born on July 1, 1949, in Coco Solo, Panama, and lived a life filled with love, dedication, and cherished moments.
Wayne was an Army veteran, serving his country with honor. After his military service, he became a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating Moorings Mobil for 44 years. His hard work and dedication to his business made him a well-respected figure in the community.
Wayne married the love of his life, Lucy Ramsay, on March 1, 1969. They shared over 55 wonderful years together, building a beautiful life and family. Wayne is survived by his devoted wife, Lucy; daughter Amber Ramsay and her sons Adam and Andrew Mason; son Adam Ramsay and his wife Ashleigh Ramsay, along with their sons Wayne and Wyatt Ramsay. He is also survived by his brothers, David and Paul Ramsay, his sister Barbara Ziegenfuss, and many friends who held him dear.
Wayne was an amazing man-caring, hardworking, and always there for his family and friends. He was always willing to lend a hand and was truly a legend. A great fisherman and boater, Wayne could build or fix anything. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and occasionally enjoying an ice-cold Budweiser.
A Celebration of Life service to honor Wayne will be held on June 8, 2024, at 2 pm at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, located at 777 Mooring Line Drive, Naples, FL 34102. The service will be followed by a continued celebration in the Family Life Center at the church. Family and friends will gather to pay tribute to a remarkable man who touched so many lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to American Cancer Society, Emmanuel Lutheran Church and Avow Hospice in Wayne Ramsay's memory, as a way to continue his legacy of giving and compassion.
Wayne Ramsay will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him.

I am so saddened to hear about Wayne´s passing. I have so many childhood memories about Wayne as we only lived 2 houses down from his family.... From playing pinball for hours in the garage, taking rides in the back of the Bronco with the window down, going out on his boat the Amberjack, sitting in the coolest vintage Mustang that he restored, hanging out at the "station", counting all of his hats that he collected and having so many family dinners at their house. Lucy, Amber and Adam... you are in my thoughts and prayers. Wayne was a good man!

Our family cannot forget how Wayne kept our old cars running and the price was always right. We thank the family for all Mr. Ramsay did for us and his country. May he rest in peace.

Wayne and Lucy were like second parents to our youngest son, Joe, who spent many a happy time with them and their son Adam, his first bff, often on their boat, the Amber Jack!
Don and I are saddened to hear of Wayne´s passing. Prayers for Lucy, Amber, Adam and their families.
He was a Naples icon.

We have so many fond memories of Wayne spanning the last fifty years Time spent with him and Lucy in Naples, at their camp in Maine, here in New Jersey, and at his happy place in the Keys. He was a good husband, father and grandfather; evident in the close family bond that anyone who knows them can see. Our hearts go out to Lucy, Adam, Amber and their four grandsons.

Hanging around Fingers Amaco station with the homeboys & drinking ice cold Budweisers on Saturday afternoon & playing par 3 golf on Wednesday nights. Wayne was a great stand up guy and we hung around. He was a great friend and a really nice guy. Rest In Peace old friend. Bruce Gritter

Enjoying a beer (or a few) with Wayne at the Kawanhee Inn and listening to him, Chris, and Wallace talk about fixing things and the latest condition of the grey goose. Simple, happy, times that are near and dear to me, I am so glad to have met Wayne and share these few moments with him at the inn. His kind spirit lives on within all of us, and we are all better for having known him.

This is a difficult loss for us. Wayne was one of the kindest and funniest man I have had the privilege to know. Keeping Lucy and the family in our prayers.
