Mr. Wayne Blair Rice, Sr., 75, of Trenton, SC, beloved husband of fifty-four years to Diane Gragg Rice, entered into rest suddenly on Saturday, December 20, 2025.
Born in Wilsons, VA, a son of the late Daniel B. and Edith L. Toney Rice, he had been a resident of Augusta, GA, prior to making Trenton, SC, home in 1981.
A Vietnam Veteran, he answered his country's call by proudly and with honor serving in the United States Navy. He retired from Maner Builders Supply.
A devout Christian, Wayne was a dedicated member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Wayne never missed the opportunity to spread the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. If need be, he would gladly pray for you at anytime, anywhere and without hesitation. Often, he would place the needs of others before those of his own.
Wayne enjoyed watching his beloved Crimson Tide, trips to NASCAR races, fishing, hunting and woodworking. However, he enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family.
Along with his wife, Wayne is loved, will be missed and his memory will be cherished by his children, Tonya Michelle Rice (Curtis) Temples and Bud (Kimberly Sammons) Rice, grandchildren, Madelyn Grace (Matthew) Radke, Hunter Bryson Temples, Cameron Blair Rice and Spencer Grace Rice and great-grandchildren, Grayson Cole Radke and Blair Adelyn Radke.
Also preceding Wayne in death were siblings, Joyce Andrews, Peggy Stephens, Grace Crowe, Robert Rice, James Rice, Henry Rice, Edith Lewis, Dan Rice, Jr., Rachel Williams, Linda Bailey, Sue Castro, Gloria Ashby, Donald Rice and Margaret Patterson.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, January 3, 2026, beginning at 11 o'clock at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Aiken, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at noon at the church. Wayne's friend and pastor, Steve Hanna will officiate. A United States Navy Honor Guard will render Veterans Honors.
