Wayne Russell, a beloved son and brother passed peacefully at his home on May 3, 2025, at the age of 37. Born on May 24, 1987, in Brownsville, TN, Wayne lived a life filled with passion and dedication. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home, with Bro. David Aton and Bro. Hershell Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at the Brownsville Memorial Gardens in Brownsville, TN. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
Wayne was best known for his career as an assembler on the line at Conagra Foods, where he was valued for his hard work and commitment. He also proudly served in the Army National Guard, demonstrating his dedication to his country and community.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Wayne had many interests and passions that brought him joy. He loved riding motorcycles, a hobby that gave him a sense of freedom and adventure. His enthusiasm for guns and cars echoed his adventurous spirit, while his appreciation for life’s simpler pleasures was reflected in his love for connecting with friends, especially girls.
Wayne is survived by his devoted parents, Buddy and Darlene Russell, of Brownsville, TN, and his loving brother, Joe Martin, along with his sister-in-law, Sherry, of Jackson, TN, and his grandmother Billie White. Together, they will forever cherish the memories they shared and the love they received from him.
Pallbearers for the service will be Joe Martin, Jason Haak, Jerry Bailey, Forest Adams, Zachary Arnold, B.J. Gross.
Wayne will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. The family requests any memorials be given to the charity of the donor's choice. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
