Wayne C. Sing, 73 of New London, died Friday, February 7, 2025 at his home in New London. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2025 at Peace Lutheran Church in New London. Visitation will be for 2 hours prior to the service at church. Interment will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery near Bird Island. Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in New London.
Wayne Charles Sing was born on April 21, 1951, in Olivia the son of Delbert and Mary (Grimms) Sing. He grew up in Bird Island where he attended elementary and high school, graduating in 1970. He worked as a police officer in Bird Island for a short time before entering the National Guard. Upon his release he worked at the National Guard in Willmar as a mechanic. He also bought and sold cars from his farm west of New London. He was united in marriage to Barbara Burman on April 6, 2021. They enjoyed retirement together at their home in New London.
Wayne enjoyed hunting of all kinds, being outside, riding horses when he was younger, working on cars and fixing things.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Barb; children, Trisha Sing, Travis Sing and Tayler and (Toni) Sing; five grandchildren; Barb's son, Jeremy (Michelle) Houck and their son, John; brothers, Willis (Joy) Sing, Allen, (Fran) Sing and Tony Sing and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
