Wayne was a lifelong resident of Wickliffe prior to moving to Mentor. He graduated from Wickliffe High School, was a longtime machinist, working for AMD and later retiring from there.
Wayne enjoyed fishing, loved his motorcycle, the Cleveland Browns, spending time with friends, his dogs, and family, especially with his grandchildren.
Wayne was the loving father of Scott Swaffield (Michala); devoted grandfather of Kaysen, Layten and Kinsley; dear brother of Bruce Swaffield (Martha), Bryan Swaffield (Renee), Robert Swaffield (Carolyn) and Glenn Swaffield (Anna); dear uncle of Elizabeth (deceased), Catherine Swaffield, Bryan Swaffield (Amanda) Cassondra Stolarik (Jim), Andrea Swaffield, Kevin Swaffield (Angela), Taylor Swaffield (Emily), Rebecca Jung (David), William Swaffield and great uncle of Christopher, Emily, Bryleigh, Scarlett and Roman.
The family will receive friends at THE ORLANDO-DONSANTE-PREVITE FUNERAL HOME 29550 EUCLID AVE., WICKLIFFE, ON FRIDAY, MARCH 14TH FROM 5:00 TO 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 15th at Vineyard Community Church 1928 East 300th St., Wickliffe.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wayne's memory to the Lake Humane Society 7564 Tyler Blvd. Building E, Mentor, OH 44060.
