Wayne and all his knowledge will be sorely missed. I use to tell him I wish I could borrow his brain. He would just smile and say "if you listen when the old timers talk or teach you something, you´ll learn" It´s always fun to go into his shop to see what he was working on. He said "if you do something a little bit at a time, you will get it done"
Wayne and Eydee are my neighbors. I have learned more in the past four plus years from both of them, than I think I did when I was in school. It´s my go-to house when I don´t know what to do, from snakes to fixing something or just to have a what´s new conversation. My family calls them "my other family"
I got the pleasure of hearing Wayne tell me about the day he married Eydee just a few weeks ago. He said he washed and waxed the car, all these years later; he took her out to lunch in that same car. He was beaming! I was downtown Windsor when I watched the lovebirds go cruising by. I jokingly teased them about still liking ( and loving) each other after all these years. They are a "life goal couple" for me and I am sure many.
My last conversation with Wayne was "I will see you later" ( I am not big on goodbye) He was sitting on the porch. I said "Be good, don´t do anything I wouldn´t do". He smiled and retort, "Well that leaves it wide open" always with his dry sense of humor. He and Eydee are heaven sent neighbors. I will miss Wayne and I am grateful and blessed to call Eydee my neighbor. I wonder what projects Wayne will be working on in heaven..

Uncle Wayne, I can not remember my life without you in it. You always were in the shed making things for us when we were children. As an adult you continued to give us the greatest gifts from your heart. I will always remember spending time with you just hanging out in the shed looking at all your projects. I love all you have given me and will always cherish them. Uncle Wayne RIP I hope you knew you were loved by all. Missie Ann

You are one of a kind Uncle Wayne. A heart of gold, big enough to love all of us, and so many more. You will be forever remembered and loved.
