On January 11, 2026, Weldon Brent Adams passed from this life into peace. He is now free, whole, and experiencing the beauty and healing of heaven he so faithfully believed in.
Brent was a beloved son, brother, uncle, friend, and colleague. Born in
Lubbock, Texas, to the late Weldon and Dorothy Adams, Brent arrived into the world alongside his twin sister, Brenda, joining the family that already included older twin sisters, Connie and Vickie.
He was a man of many talents. In addition to achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, Brent's artistic spirit emerged early in life performing in middle and high school theatre productions, singing in the First Baptist Church and First United Methodist Church choirs, and gracing the stage at Texas Tech University theatre.
After relocating to Pennsylvania, he continued to be active in the local theatre communities of The Barley Sheaf Players and Playcrafters of Skippack. As noted by friends, he brought characters to life with his bold tenor voice, always giving his best, and expecting the best from everyone involved. Theatre experiences with him were artistically strong and a heck of a lot of fun.
Brent was proud to have contributed his creativity and managerial acumen to a 40-year career at Byers' Choice Ltd. In retirement, he channeled his artistic talents into designing and creating seasonal figurines, founding his business, Working Alive.
Brent was a man of exquisite taste who found joy in life's beautiful details. He excelled at antiquing and curating collections with history. He treasured his Victorian antiques and everything Masterpiece and the BBC had to offer. Brent loved to travel, whether a few states away in New England or an ocean away in Europe. He enjoyed going to the movies, bowling, playing cards, and entertaining friends. He was brilliantly funny, sophisticated, yet playfully silly, sarcastic, tenacious, empathic, and kind. His sense of humor was legendary, and he brought joy and laughter to family Christmas mornings with themed gifts and practical jokes.
He was extremely dedicated to those he cherished and wanted only the best for them. Whether it was giving great hugs, making you laugh, or telling you how much you meant to him, Brent had a gift for making you feel loved and valued.
Brent's unwavering faith was evident every day. He drew courage from the promises embodied in Scripture as he traversed health challenges with hope and faith. He was grounded in the knowledge that his life was held firmly in God's hands. He knew where he was going, and it was going to be wonderful. Brent was an active inspiration to others to stand strong in faith.
He is survived by his twin sister, Brenda Adams Wilson (Wade) of
Lubbock, Texas, and their children, Travis Wilson (Erin) of Seguin, Texas, and Traci Smith (Jeremy) of
Lubbock, Texas; his sisters, Connie Adams Kelley of Austin, Texas, and her daughter, Heather Goss (Dustin) of Austin, Texas, and Vickie Adams Brown of Perkasie, Pennsylvania; and countless friends whose lives he touched with his love and humor.
Brent's spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life will be planned in Pennsylvania for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Brent's life to perform a random act of kindness in his memory or make donations to The Barley Sheaf Players, Playcrafters of Skippack , or Cat Angel Network.
