Mr. Weldon Gary Pointer

"A time to be born" Ecclesiastes 3:2
Weldon Pointer was born on April 4, 1947, to the blessed parents of Mr. Grady T. Pointer and Bessie M. Pointer in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended Mount Olive Baptist Church and accepted the Lord as his personal savior at a young age. Weldon attend I.M. Terrell and upon graduation, he joined the United States Navy. Once his time in the military was complete, he started his long and successful career at General Motors in Arlington, Texas.

Weldon Pointer met the love of his life Debra in 1979 Deba Stafford (Pointer). They became a blessed and blended family by combining two homes and three children, Alvin T. Pointer, Luchana M. Health and Kenya Hargis. With this blessed union their daughter Rhonda Pointer was born and the completions of their family. Weldon Pointer also leaves behind former-wife and close family friend Rose M.Robinson Pointer. Weldon was an attentive, loving husband and father to his children and wife and the patriarch of his family.

Weldon Pointer was a proud member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, where he served the with love and compassion. Weldon was an active member of the UAW and Historian at GM for many years. Weldon was and advent reader, historian and an active member in the community that he lived in. His smile was contagious, he was hardworking, diligent and to know Weldon was to love him.

"I'm going to put on my robe, and tell the story, how I made it over." Weldon's earthly journey ended when the Lord and King of King's called his name to return to his heavenly home on October 20, 2024. Proceeding him in death were his parents Grady T. Pointer and Bessie M. Pointer, as well as siblings Donny Wayne Pointer, Gladys Christine Martin and Grada Linda Ramirez.

Weldon leaves behind a legacy of wisdom, kindness, love and memories for his family and friends to cherish for many years to come. In addition to the love of his life and four beautiful children, Weldon also left behind a legacy of eight beautiful grandchildren that will miss him dearly.
