Weldon's Journey
Weldon Marion Thomas, Sr. was the son of the late Charles and Gladys Thomas. He was born on January 1, 1954 in Pocomoke, Maryland. God called him home suddenly on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Peake Healthcare at Hartley Hall in Pocomoke City, Maryland.
Weldon received his education in the public schools of Worcester County, Maryland. He was employed at Campbell Soup Company and Ocean Pines Golf Association until he was no longer able to work.
Weldon attended St. James United Methodist Church from an early age and maintained a personal relationship with Christ until his death.
He was joined in holy matrimony to Denise Thomas. This union was blessed with two children, Gina and Weldon Thomas, Jr. Weldon was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching TV and Nascar.
Weldon was a loving and kind person to everyone he encountered. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help. He also loved to talk and would talk to anyone willing to listen. He would tell stories about his formative years. Seeing his loved ones happy was all the reward he ever desired.
He was preceded in death by his mother Gladys Thomas, his father Charles Thomas, Sr. and two brothers, Charles Thomas, Jr. and Fredrick Thomas.
He leaves to cherish fond memories of his life: one daughter, Gina Thomas of Salisbury, MD; one son, Weldon Thomas, Jr. of Millsboro, DE; six grandchildren, Malik Thomas, ShaTyria Thomas, and SaCora Thomas, all of Salisbury, MD, Katelyn Thomas and Tori Thomas, both of Haines City, FL and Corey Thomas of Millsboro, DE; one great grandson, Kaesyn Thomas of Salisbury, MD; two sisters, Portia Anderson of Reisterstown, MD and Teresa Dennis of Annapolis, MD; one brother, Antoine Thomas of Pocomoke, MD; one godbrother, Ronald Brooks (Jacelyn) of Baltimore, MD; a bonus daughter, Tasha Holden of Temperanceville, VA; one cousin who was like a brother, Clyde Sample and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
