Wenda Oddsen Monger, 82, of Estero, FL, and formerly of Leonardtown, MD, passed away
peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2025. Born on November 21, 1942, in Greenwich, CT, she was the beloved daughter of the late George and Rebecca Buckle.
Wenda was a vibrant and accomplished woman who left an indelible mark on all who knew her. As a young mother she branched out with jobs as a real estate agent and interior designer. Like her father, Wenda was an avid gardener and over the years became actively involved in garden clubs in New Jersey and Maryland. In 1986, alongside her late second husband Odd Oddsen, she co-founded Innovative Office Products, where she proudly served as Vice President. Following the loss of her husband and stepson, she closed this important chapter in her life and moved from New Jersey to Maryland to be near her remaining family.
In 2014, Wenda found love again and married Paul Monger. Together they made their home in Leonardtown, MD, before moving to Estero, FL, in 2015. Wenda embraced her new carefree life in Florida. She reveled in the beauty of the beach, attending shows, and traveling to new destinations with Paul.
Wenda will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and zest for life. She is survived by her devoted husband, Paul Monger of Estero, FL; her loving daughters, Deborah Allen of
Woodbridge, VA and Katheryn Moyer (Douglas) of Woodville, VA ; her stepdaughter, Kris Lamb (John) of Randolph, NJ; her eight cherished grandchildren; and her sister, Cheryl Schumacher (Stephen) of Solomon's, MD.
A private family gathering will be held later this year in Virginia to celebrate Wenda's life. If
you wish to honor Wenda, please consider donating to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund at curealz.org.
