In the early 1970s Fred, two brothers (one of whom I went to high school with) and I shared a living space in Allston, MA in a house with a fabulous address: 44 Hooker Street. It was, to put it mildly, fairly modest and I can still remember how much we each had to kick in each month for rent- $58.
Fred was a man of many talents. He is the only person I have ever met who could juggle four balls simultaneously.
I'm so glad to see that he was still with Cindy all these years. I knew her back then as well, and can still remember where they met. He was a wonderful person and I'm saddened to learn of his passing.

Norman, as a teen, enjoyed hanging out with Uncle Fred, talking with him, even learning how to dry wall one day, in a very fatherly way. He will always remember great times with Uncle Fred!

Uncle Fred - gentle, calm, kind, steadfast, strong, compassionate. My mom was always so happy whenever her tallest cousin came to visit. He brought a wonderful sense of stability with him wherever he went. I will always treasure his memory. Much love to you all!

To my dearest sister Cindy, her daughter Lisa (and family) and Tyler (and family)
My heartfelt condolences on the loss of Freddy. He was truly a gentle soul. We had so many memories and fun times skiing (trying to find ski boots big enough for him!) along with all the get-togethers we had. He will be so missed by us. Love Lin, Joe and Dev xoxoxoxo

As much as I tried, I could not dunk on Fred. Just a first class guy.

So sorry to learn this news. Fred was a quiet, gentle giant who led by example. He was a friend to all and was humble in the face of his many accomplishments on the GDA campus. RIP, Fred.
