Robert Charles "Bob" DeMao

Robert (Bob) Charles DeMao passed away at his home September 13th, 2025, after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma, brain cancer. Bob was born in Richmond, Indiana August 15th, 1950, to Sal and Loretta DeMao. He was a graduate of Richmond High School and attended Indiana University for two years . He moved to Houston Texas and pursued a career in the Golf industry. He went to work for EZ-GO Golf Carts in Houston which took him to Columbus Ohio where he met his future wife, then to Pittsburg Pennsylvania. Then a move to Florida and went to work with Yamaha Golf Carts. Bob left the golf business, went into real estate for 10 years and then retired. He loved Golf, Fishing, and FGCU Basketball. Most of all Bob loved his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his Father Salvatore DeMao, his Mother Loretta DeMao and his Nephew Donnie DeMao. Bob is survived by his wife Vicky DeMao his Son Robert (Rob) DeMao Jr. And Grandson Dominic DeMao and Sister Carol Snapp and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass to honor Bob will be held Saturday October 4th 11 am at St. Leos Catholic Church 28290 Beaumont Rd, Bonita Springs Fl 34134.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Jr. Golf Scholarships at Ron DeMao Foundation c/o Wayne County Foundation, 33 South 7th St., Richmond, Indiana 47374.
