Wendell Pickering Gunn was born June 17, 1939, and is the only child of the late Lester Gunn and Evelyn Pickering Gunn. He was born in Port Royal, TN, and leaves behind his lovely wife of 33 years Ann Carney Gunn. Other Survivors include his Daughter; Wendy Annette Dehaan (Jim) of Michigan, Sons; Timothy Dwayne Gunn (Amy) of Murfreesboro, Tony Blaine Gunn of Tullahoma, and Stephen Eugene Carney (Theresa) of Colorado Springs, Grandchildren; Jordan Gunn, Parker Gunn (Kylie), Colton Gunn (Katie), Chandler Carney, Mary Kate Carney, Hannah Carney, and Robbie Dehaan, and 6 Great-Grandchildren.
Wendell was a lifetime self-employed floor installer and business owner. He was a collector of sports memorabilia and a longtime softball player. His greatest passion other than his family was the New York Yankees and the Tennessee Volunteers. He will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in his name to Bethel Free Will Baptist Church, 2400 Mosley Ferry Rd., Ashland City, TN 37015.
