Lilly Florence Duren, Age 85, March 13, 2025. Mrs. Duren was preceded in Death by her parents; Willie Gray Scott and Lilly Berley Johns Scott, her granddaughter; Jennifer Osment, and her brothers; Roy Scott and Joe Scott. She is survived by her daughter; Stephanie M. Osment (Lester), her grandson; Joshua Osment, and great-grandchildren; Jimmy Callis and Brooklyn Pannell. Other survivors include her siblings; Jimmy Scott (Gretchen), Jack Scott, Peggy Christian (Hubert), Jill Lamberth, Shirley Brown (Jimmy), and Mary Jenkins (Carl), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lilly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them all. She spent many hours sewing, one of her favorite things, and she was also an avid reader, enjoying many novels by her favorite writer, James Patterson. Her memory will be cherished and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, beginning at 1:30 PM, at the Scottsboro Community Club, 5102 Hydes Ferry Pike, Nashville, TN 37218.
