Wendy E. Cook, 76, a long time Plum Island resident passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 29, 2023. Her final moments were spent peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
Wendy was born, October 8, 1946 to the late Orin and Ellen Partridge of Hampstead, NH. Wendy graduated from Haverhill High School in 1964 and immediately enlisted in the United States Navy. She proudly served our country from 1964-1967 as a, 3rd class Yeoman. Upon being honorably discharged she received the Defense Service Medal.
It goes without saying that she was never afraid of work. Wendy had and held many positions in her lifetime. A small glimpse into Wendy's career included anything and everything from working as a Military Clerk to lunch lady to handing out detentions at a local High School to proudly parking cars at her Plum Island residence. But, ultimately her life was spent as a Devoted Wife and Companion , Loving Mother, and with her Everlasting relationships with Family and Friends is what shaped the person that is and will forever be, Wendy.
Wendy's life was spent unselfishly dedicated to her family and friends. Her humor and generous spirit touched everyone she met. Whether it was giving out unsolicited advice to her children or giving life lessons to random strangers, everyone listened. She was always quick with a story or a silly joke. When you met her, even if only for a moment, you instantly felt her warmth and love.
Wendy leaves her loving companion of 16 years, Philip Orlando, Plum Island, MA; daughters, Tracy E. Cook, Salem, NH, Kelly A. Rogers, Gorham, ME; son, Ronald D. Cook, Elm City, NC; Philip Orlando, Wilmington, MA, Katie Orlando, Old Orchard Beach, ME and their spouses; daughter in law, Pam Cook, Charlotte, NC , fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren. Also surviving, sister, Florence Davis, Newport News, VA, and brother, Robert Partridge, Derry, NH
Wendy is reunited with her beloved late husband, Robert L. Cook , along with family; daughter, Roberta L. Cook; daughter, Donna M. Shelhorse; son, Robert S. Cook; brother, Orin Partridge; sister, Dona L. Cronk and many more loving family members.
Wendy's Celebration of Life will be held on, Thursday, June 15, 2023@ 11:00am at PITA Hall, 8 Plum Island Turnpike, Newbury, MA. Light Refreshments to follow.

Wendy was my dear cousin & my sister in Christ. We talked together often, prayed often, cried often, laughed a lot & we would take our conversations to the moon & back. Missing Wendy in my life has already been a struggle & it will continue until we are united by Jesus at Heaven´s Gate.
