Wendellyn Hope McElveen Greene, lovingly known as Wendy, passed away on February 14, 2026, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, Georgia.

Wendy was born on December 18, 1984, to Monette Howell McElveen and Wendell McElveen. She was a beloved daughter, devoted wife, and cherished mother whose life centered around her family. Wendy was employed at Yurezz Home Center, where she worked faithfully and was appreciated by both coworkers and customers. .Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, Jack and Lillian McElveen of Darien, Georgia and Mary Harold Googe of Statesboro.

She is survived by her loving spouse, Stephen Greene; her children, Branden Greene, Isabella Greene, Brittany Greene, and Jacob Godbee; ; two brothers, Daniel McElveen (Lisa) of Dudley, Georgia, and Kevin McElveen of Yorktown, Virginia; , four nieces, one nephew, one grandniece, and four grandnephews; her brother-in-law Dillon Lanier and family; her sister-in-law, Erica Lanier and family; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kathy Lanier and Larry Spell; two stepbrothers, Mitchell Spell and Spencer Spell and their families; and one stepsister, Megan Walden and her family;.

Wendy will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and the devotion she showed to those closest to her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
